FWD: Support Our Space – SOS Marathon

Dear Friends of Our Space:

As you are aware, Our Space is an advocate for poverty and the issues  that surround it.  We are deeply concerned about people who are out in the cold.  In support of those who are living on the streets, Janet McCue and Ken Whatman are taking on the challenge of raising funds while walking a day in their shoes.

SOS marathon is to Support Our Space while we Stay On the Streets.  In the spirit of Chirstmas, we have chosen December 25th as a reminder that there was no room at the Inn.  Janet and Ken will attempt to walk the streets from 9pm at night to 9 am in hopes of community financial support per hour.  The money raised will start our capital campaign to purchase a permanent location for Our Space.

We want to challenge everyone to get involved by becoming aware of the issues within Peterborough and make a difference by supporting this effort.

Pledges can be made at Our Space at 574 George St. N. any day between 9am and 3pm and she be given to Janet or Ken.  Phone 775-0367 for more information.

Thank you for your support in advance.

Ken Whatman
Executive Director
